Liquefaction Effects in San Carlo (Sant’Agostino, Ferrara)

The village of San Carlo (Municipality: Sant’Agostino; Province: Ferrara) was affected by significant liquefaction effects following the event of May 20th, 2012 (MW = 5.9).

San Carlo is approximately 17 km far from the epicentre. In the following document, an overview of some of the mostly-affected areas in San Carlo is shown. Field measurements, carried out by the Eucentre field teams, aims to quantify the incidence of the liquefaction phenomenon.
