2011 Turkey Earthquake Strong Motion Records

See the processed and raw strong-motion data: 2011 Van Earthquake strong motion records   (The processed recordings are in SMC format.) Raw data are posted on the Institution website: TR-NSMN Database Information

Ground motion data from KATNP now also available for the two large May 12 events.

The Center for Engineering Strong Motion Data (CESMD) also posted  data for the two large aftershocks on May 12th. Time stamps of the records may not be accurate. Map of the ground deformation

A part of the studied area shows that a deformation up to 15 centimetres occurred. The map below (Figure 1) shows the distribution of ground deformation; more information is available here: Terremoto in Emilia Romagna: il sollevamento dell’area è arrivato a 15 centimetri (in Italian).        Figure 1.

Shake maps of the 29th May aftershock

The map below (Figure 1) shows the interpolation of peak ground acceleration – horizontal components (PGA_h) – recorded by the stations of RAN  network during the May 29th event of Ml 5.8 (last accessed 30/05/2012). Figure 1.   The map below (Figure 2) shows the interpolation of peak ground acceleration – vertical components (PGA_v) – recorded by the stations of the RAN […]
