Updates from the EERI Team

February 14, 2018

March 17, 2011. Earthquake Engineering Research Institute.

The EERI team is in the EOC waiting for assignment to inspection teams (pictures below). It is important to know that all the engineers on our team have all volunteered 3-6 days each. We have done our reconnaissance as part of these inspection teams, and this is the only way that anyone had access to the Central Business District. The New Zealand engineers (professional, city building officials and academics) who are managing this effort have really appreciated the EERI assistance and input and they see us as an asset. We will have good working relationships in the future as a result of our cooperation in this difficult time.
