From March 6th to April 13th, 2010, a team organized by EERI investigated the effects of the Chile earthquake. The team was assisted locally by professors and students of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the Universidad de Chile, and the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María. GEER (Geo-engineering Extreme Events Reconnaissance) contributed geosciences, geology, and geotechnical engineering findings. The Technical Council on Lifeline Earthquake Engineering (TCLEE) contributed a report based on its reconnaissance of April 10-17.
