Description of damage:

The following photos were taken by Eng. Francesca Bozzoni, representing Eucentre and the team of GEER (Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance) Association in the surveys carried out at the dams located in the area affected by the August 24, 2016 earthquake. Jointly with the team of the French Association for Earthquake Engineering (AFPS), technical visits of four dams, i.e. Scandarello dam (Figure 1) and the dams which impound Campotosto lake, that are Poggio Cancelli (Figure 2), Rio Fucino (Figure 3), and Sella Pedicate (Figure 4), were carried out under the supervision of technical staff of the dams owner.
