Hospitals are heavily damaged in earthquake hit area

Virtual Earthquake Reconnaissance Team (VERT) Summary by Bishnu Pandey and Anna Weiser-Woodward.
Rapid assessment team from WHO and Ministry of Health found hospitals in worst hit area of earthquake in Sindhupalchowk, Nuwakot, Rasuawa and Ramechhap districts severely damaged or completely destroyed.
The assessment team visited 21 hospitals in 12 of the districts impacted severely by the earthquake to gather information and found that a total of 17 hospitals were still operational.
